We’re likely all familiar by now with the ever-popular hashtags of #ThrowbackThursday, #FollowFriday, and #TipTuesday, but you may be wondering how can you leverage these trends on your business channels.

Posting with these hashtags is not only possible, but it is an excellent way to stay current and engage with your followers in an arena they are familiar with.

Follow these tips below to get your business on board with these trending hashtags.

#ThrowbackThursday or #TBT

This hashtag usually accompanies a photo from a user’s past. While you’ll most likely see adorable childhood photos with this hashtag on your personal newsfeed, you absolutely can use this hashtag for your business accounts.

Has your company been around for some time? Great! Post a picture that dates to the early years and bring everyone back to that exciting time.

Did you recently launch your business? You can get behind the power of this hashtag by posting an early photo of you or maybe of one of your employees (with their permission, of course). People connect with people, so why not give your fans a more personal view into your business?

#FollowFriday or #FF

This hashtag, which appears on the last day of the workweek, is aimed at informing your audience of new people to follow, usually people with the same or similar interests.

Are you a non-profit organization? Why not participate in #FollowFriday this week and mention other non-profits with similar missions and goals?

Are you a physician? #FollowFriday is a great opportunity to mention doctors in specialties different from yours that you commonly refer your patients to.

As a business owner, you’re one of the experts in your industry. Your social media channels provide a fantastic platform to share that valuable information with your followers.

Need some ideas? If you’re in the beauty industry, why not shed some light on how many days a week you should shampoo your hair or exfoliate your skin?

Real estate experts may want to share home buying tips or post information regarding important questions to ask a realtor.

Restaurants and food industry experts can use this day to share food knowledge. Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable? I’m sure many of your fans are wondering and are eager to hear what you have to say on the matter.

These hashtags are all the rage on their respective days of the week, so join in on the buzz and engage with your fans!
