Instagram announced this week inactive, old and spam accounts will be deleted in an effort to create a more authentic user experience. The photo-sharing app’s terms of service prohibit spamming. Users who are effected by this clean up will see a message that reads, “Change in Followers” when they login. You can learn more about this update here.
Twitter launched a new mobile app install advertising product earlier this week. The feature will allow app developers to sell advertising spots within Twitter that link directly to the Mac App Store and Google Play. Pinterest unveiled an upcoming product announcement scheduled for April 24th called “Choose Your Own Adventure”. The visual discovery tool is rumored to be focusing on more consumer-facing travel products. The launch will be aimed at attracting more male users to the female dominated tool.
